Description
EcoNet.com was known as Valueline Direct Internet Consulting Services, prior to its start in 1995. Since that time we have witnessed a major alteration in the fabric of our economy, however EcoNet.com's vision of the internet as a fundamental change technology has remained unchanged. This change is so big, we are too close to really see how big it is. As an example, let's consider just one business and how the internet has made an impact. Five years ago, if you wanted to buy a stock, you called a broker. Now you are likely conduct that trade on-line. So how long did it take for the world to change? Ameritrade.com is one of the largest on-line stock brokers. How long did it take them to go from zero to one hundred? I looked up Ameritrade.com's domain record. That domain wasn't registered until the end of 1995. Entire industries can now change in just a few years and we are by no means done yet. In fact, it's just the opposite. We are just getting started! So how did it all start? Look at this slice of history we have recorded, so you can see even a bigger picture. 1969 DEPT OF DEFENSE LAUNCHES ARPANET Apollo 11 Lands on the moon...
